So January has finally ended!! After what seemed like forever.
Alhamdulillah am glad it has finally ended. My January was full of - I can’t even find the right words to describe it.
A few highlights 👇🏾
My house help of over 9 years had to leave work to attend to some health issues😿
After what seemed like an impossible task, i got someone else.
Returned to Mindelo with Khalil to resume school.
Dealt with a week of back to back tantrums and meltdowns.
Had a bedbug scare in the apartment. Btw it was my first time seeing a bedbug (thanks to google for help in identifying)
Got let down by someone who made a great first Impression and had high expectations from.
Had to evacuate and find another apartment ASAP.
Cried a lot (blame the hormones)😩😂🤦🏽♀
Found a better apartment 🙌🙌
Moved all by myself and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the new apartment before moving.
Attended a meeting with his teachers and got positive feedback(s)🙀🙀
Met with an amazing lady who’s been going all out for me (God please don’t let her change too😩🙏🏾)
Despite everything,at the end of this month I am reminded that there’s a blessing in every difficulty.
That verily with every difficulty I encountered this month Allah replaced it with ease. I got something better beyond my expectations Alhamdulillah.
My lessons from January- If you are working with someone and expecting a certain result from them,Always have a plan B so that if they don’t come through for you, another person will.
-You have no idea how strong you can be until you find yourself with no other option.
-Always be good to people and kind to others.
-Ensure you surround yourself with people who you can talk with who will listen and support you.
-No man is an island. Leverage on your community.
-Before you judge someone for not responding to your messages or email or text or calls, ensure you find out how they are doing first. You might be shocked because people are dealing with a lot silently 😇
Lastly whatever doesn’t K*ll you,makes you STRONGER!!
Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah robil Alamin😇
There’s so much to be thankful for.
As we usher in the month of Shaban, may Allah spare us to witness Ramadan in good health and long life. Amin.
